I had my nose done… best thing I ever did.
Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny on The Big Bang Theory is not shy about admitting that she has gone under the knife. In a recent interview she revealed, “Years ago, I had my nose done. And my boobs — best thing I ever did. Recently I had a filler in a line in my neck I’ve had since I was 12.”It is refreshing to see a celebrity admit that having plastic surgery, and a nose job in particular, was important to them. What is even better is that Cuoco says she underwent these procedures for the right reason. Instead of claiming she was forced to do it for her career, she says, “As much as you want to love your inner self … I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing.”This is exactly the sort of healthy, self-loving attitude a doctor wants a patient to have when a nose job is being done for non-medical reasons. The number one reason someone should consider having rhinoplasty is if they have health reasons for doing so. A deviated septum can cause a lot of difficulty breathing, for example. The second reason, and hopefully the most common reason, is that having a nose job can give you a confidence boost and raise your self-esteem.If you have been living your whole life with a nose that you do not feel fits your face, finally getting rhinoplasty is like having a ginormous weight lifted from your shoulders. Instead of focusing on something you think is wrong with yourself, you get to enjoy something that is so very right. In this way, nose jobs aren’t just physical transformations, but mental ones as well. And it is often the mental change that is the most dramatic. Preparing for this change is important, so it is critical to work with a surgeon that understands what an impact a nose job can have on someone’s life, and who is willing and able to address emotional challenges as well as physical ones.
